February 2025
From the Faithful Navigator…
Sir Knights,
It’s February, and the Lenten Season is nearly upon us. I hope you managed to fare well during a frigid January and are maintaining your sense of humor during this watery and chilly February.
Before moving on to other matters, I’d like to ask you to pray for all those who lost their lives in the air crashes in Washington, DC and Philadelphia and for their families. Let those events be a reminder to us all that we do not know when the appointed time will come.
On Monday, the 17th of February, we’ll hold our third and final planning meeting for Fish Fry 2025. The meeting will take place at the Columbian Club at 6:30 PM. To those who attended the first two meetings, thank you. Please plan on attending the final meeting to ensure we’ve got all our bases covered and what may remain to be done. I promise, there won’t be any “Who’s on first?” aspects to the meeting. Again, many hands make light work!
Note that our February Officers Meeting and Membership Meetings will take place on the 24th and 26th, respectively. Both meetings will be held at the Columbian Club. Also note that we will be conducting the Renewal of Obligations Ceremony at the Membership Meeting, with either the District Master or his designate and the Regional Marshal presiding. The Renewal of Obligations is an “open” Ceremony, so please feel free to invite your family and friends to attend. Dress for the Renewal of Obligations Ceremony will be ORD (minus beret and gloves) if you have it, coat and tie if not (Non-Standard Dress Uniform, NDSU). The updated NDSU has been uploaded to the website under the Member's Only area.
Last month, I mentioned that we’d be holding our New Sir Knights Night this month. Due to some scheduling conflicts, it appears that we’re going to have to put a delay on that event. Stand by for news on that front.
Vivat Jesus!
